Gin Basil Smash

IBA official recipe. Muddle. Made with gin, lemon juice, and sugar syrup. Served in a coupe glass.

Ingredients

• Gin 60 ml
• Lemon Juice 22.5 ml
• Granulated Sugar Syrup 22.5 ml
• Basil As needed

Method

1. Place the ingredients to be muddled into the glass.
2. Press gently with a muddler to release flavor; do not crush leaves to avoid bitterness.
3. Add the remaining ingredients and ice.
4. Stir until the glass frosts.
5. Finish according to garnish requirements.

Glassware: Coupe Glass; Ice: No ice; About 19% ABV
